All share a deep love of real philosophy. In view of this conception of real philosophy, we also share some serious worries about contemporary professional philosophy. More bluntly put, we think that contemporary professional philosophy is seriously fucked up in various ways that, ironically and even tragically, oppose and undermine the ongoing project of real philosophy.

I use design and programming to create and build communication systems and tools. I enjoy turning complex issues into smart solutions that translate seamlessly online and offline. My background touches upon graphic design, branding, interactive installations and the web, among other things. In the past I have worked for Elemental. I recently co-founded Design Systems International.

My work focuses on the emerging intersections between machine learning, design tools, programming languages and operating systems. I have also studied computer graphics, aesthetic philosophy, art and film. I come from a family of progressive educators who have greatly influenced my thinking about intelligence and toolmaking.
